Creator Agreement
This agreement applies to everyone offering sessions on LiveHowTo, together with the Terms of Service, Community Rules and Creator Standards.
Version 1.0 · Effective 13 October 2026
Who it's with
LiveHowTo is an independent business owned and operated by its founder, Bethany McGiveron, in the United Kingdom. It is not currently a registered company.
Your status
You are an independent Creator, not an employee, worker or agent of LiveHowTo. You decide what to offer, your prices and when you're available. Customers contract with you for each session, and LiveHowTo provides the marketplace.
Your profile and services
Your profile is reviewed before it goes live. Keep your profile, qualifications and services accurate and honest. Services must follow the Community Rules and Creator Standards. Some topics, such as regulated financial advice, are not allowed, and some services are reviewed before they appear.
If you sell as a business, give your trading name and business address in your dashboard so customers can see them before paying.
Delivering sessions
Provide sessions with reasonable care and skill, as described, and on time. Treat customers with respect, keep safe boundaries, and never ask to move payment or contact off LiveHowTo. Don't record sessions without everyone's permission.
Fees and payouts
- Payments are made to your Stripe account. LiveHowTo's platform fee is 20% of each payment, and Stripe's processing fees come out of your share.
- You set up payouts and complete identity checks with Stripe.
- Withdrawals are made manually from your dashboard. Funds become available 48 hours after a session is paid. Your first withdrawal must be at least £100, and you can withdraw up to £250 in any rolling 7 days unless we agree a different limit.
- We may pause payouts while we investigate fraud, disputes or a breach of the rules.
Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Our Cancellation & Refunds Policy applies to your sessions. If you cancel or don't show up, the customer gets a full refund. If a customer disputes a payment with their bank, Stripe handles it and you may need to provide evidence. If a dispute is lost, the payment is returned to the customer, and LiveHowTo's fee is refunded to you.
Tax and legal obligations
You are responsible for your own income tax, National Insurance, VAT if it applies, and any licences, qualifications or insurance your services need. LiveHowTo may have to share earnings information with HMRC if the law requires it, and may ask you for information to do this.
Safeguarding
Sessions are for adults only. Report any safety concern immediately. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Follow our Safeguarding & Moderation Appeals Procedure.
Pausing and ending
You can pause your profile or close it at any time, once your bookings, payments and balance are settled. We may pause, suspend or remove a profile that breaks this agreement or puts people at risk, and we will tell you why unless that would be unsafe. You can appeal.
