Safeguarding & Moderation Appeals

How we handle safety concerns and moderation decisions, and how to appeal.

Version 1.0 · Effective 13 October 2026

Reporting a concern

Use Report on any profile, service, message or session, or email us. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 999 first.

How we respond

Urgent risks, threats, illegal content and anything involving children are dealt with first. We can remove content, pause or suspend accounts, keep evidence and contact the police or other authorities when needed.

LiveHowTo is for adults only. Accounts we reasonably believe belong to under-18s will be suspended.

Moderation decisions

When we remove content, reject a service, or pause, suspend or close an account, we tell the person affected and explain why, unless that would put someone at risk or harm an investigation.

How to appeal

Email hello@livehowto.co.uk with "Appeal" in the subject within 28 days of the decision and explain why you think it was wrong. The decision will be reviewed again against our written rules. We aim to reply within 14 days. If we got it wrong, we will put things right.

Records

We keep reports, decisions and appeals for up to 3 years after they are closed, or longer if an investigation is still open.
